Farmingdale Community Park

Farmingdale Community Park is located East of Main Street in Farmingdale Village, NY. It is approximately 16145.87 sq ft (1500 sq meters). FCP is inspired by the words of the Mayor who said, "We are a small town just trying to keep up with the world.”

The design was inspired by traditional small towns across the U.S. The park aims to compliment the main street rather than compete and act as place of rest and unwinding after visiting the village. The park acknowledges Farmingdale’s place in American history and compliment village activities that take place on Main street such as the Halloween Parade. It is a park that celebrates its context while remaining current. Many traditional elements of park design have been transformed to be more interactive and playful.
